The Steve Rich Group sponsored and volunteered the legendary TankQue™ along with staff members to cater a memorable soirée at the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey’s (www.cianj.org) tailgate barbecue and fundraiser on Thursday, November 8th at Anheuser-Busch headquarters in Newark. The event served to raise funds for The Covenant House, as well as an excellent local business networking opportunity that was attended by over 200 notable New Jersey companies.
Besides the incredible food, the event featured a cornhole tournament, DJ’s cinema style TV’s to watch Thursday Night Football, along with plenty of refreshing Budweiser, naturally.
The TankQue which is a trailer made out 7 recycled oil tanks with over 3,000 gallons of space for cooking pizza, smoking, barbecuing and utilizing rotisseries. The trailer is available to any current or past customers of any Steve Rich Group company (Steve Rich Environmental Contractors, HOLES Infrastructure Solutions, and Versatile Cones™), for any charity fundraising event.
Quotes by those who enjoyed the food and fun included “Incredible piece of equipment…”, “That is the biggest cooking machine in the world…” and “Oh my gosh, I will be calling you next spring so we can use at our events!”
According to proprietor Steve Rich, with some passionate people who enjoy cooking manning it, the TankQue could easily feed 1,000 people.
The Covenant House is a worthy cause that has helped transform and save the lives of more than a million homeless, runaway and trafficked young people. With locations in 31 cities and 6 countries, Covenant House is found locally in Camden, Atlantic City, and Elizabeth as well as New York City, and offers housing and support services to young people in need — reaching 80,000 boys and girls every year.
